Privacy
Changed since R.02: official portraits on the Institutions page are loaded from the institutions’ own servers.
Europe Blueprint does not ask for an account. The data it publishes is public budget and spending data, not personal data.
Analytics, only if you accept
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages people read, so we know what to improve. It runs only if you choose Accept. Until then, no Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
If you accept, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device, browser and screen. It stores an identifier in two cookies, _ga and _ga_…, to recognise return visits. The data is processed by Google under its own terms and may be handled outside the EU.
If you decline, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time; turning analytics off also deletes its cookies from this site.
Photographs
The Institutions page shows official portraits published by the European Commission and the European Parliament. No photograph is copied onto this site: your browser loads each one from commission.europa.eu or europarl.europa.eu, so those servers see that a picture was requested, along with your IP address. We send no referrer with the request, and where a photo is missing a plain icon is shown instead.
Stored in your browser
Two settings are saved in your own browser and never sent to us: your light or dark theme, and your analytics choice.
Server logs
Like any website, the server receives your IP address and standard request headers when you load a page. They are kept only in the hosting provider’s logs, for as long as the provider retains them.
If what we collect changes, this page changes first, with a new revision number.
